The short version

  • We never see your bank, card, or ID details — those go directly to Stripe.
  • Signed agreements and payment ledgers are kept permanently — that permanence is the product.
  • No data sales, no ad targeting, no analytics trackers — only a session cookie and a security token.
  • AI drafting sends deal context to Anthropic only when you click "Draft with AI".

This summary is a navigation aid — the numbered sections below are the policy.

1. What we collect

Account data: your name, email address, and (if you sign in with an identity provider) the profile picture it supplies. Deal data: the deals, terms, documents, splits, bills, and payout records you and your counterparties create. Signature records: when you accept an agreement we record your identity, the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and a fingerprint of the exact terms — that's what makes the electronic signature verifiable. Operational data: sign-in events and audit logs of actions taken on your account.

We do not collect or store your bank account, card, or government-ID details — those go directly to Stripe during onboarding and payment, and we never see them.

2. How we use it

To run the Service: forming and retaining agreements, sending the emails the Service is built on (sign-in links, invitations, agreement copies, payout notices), splitting and paying out collected revenue, preventing fraud and abuse, and meeting legal obligations. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who processes it for us

Stripe processes payments, identity verification, and payouts. Twilio SendGrid delivers our email. Heroku (Salesforce) hosts the Service and its database on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Anthropic processes deal context (title, value, party count — and the resulting draft text) only when you click "Draft with AI" on a deal's terms; nothing is sent to Anthropic unless you use that feature. Each processor handles data under its own contractual and security commitments.

4. Who else sees it

Parties to your deals see what the deal shows: your name, email, split, and signature status. Payers see the bill you send them. We disclose data when the law requires it. If Microhired is acquired or reorganized, data transfers with the service under this policy.

5. Retention

Executed agreements, signature records, and payment ledgers are retained as long-term records — that permanence is the product. Account data is kept while your account exists. If you close your account we delete or anonymize what we can, but signed agreements and transaction records to which other people are party are retained for them and for legal compliance.

6. Your choices

You can view and update your name and email in the app, and request a copy or deletion of your data (subject to the retention rules above) by emailing us. We use only the cookies the Service needs to function — a session cookie and a security token; there are no advertising or analytics trackers.
