Terms of Service.

Last updated June 11, 2026

The short version

  • Deals are contracts between you and your counterparties — we run the rails, we're not a party.
  • Accepting terms here is a binding electronic signature (ESIGN/UETA), recorded and fingerprinted.
  • Our fee is 1% of each bill collected, off the top; Stripe's processing fees also apply.
  • Refunds and disputes claw back proportionally from everyone who was paid.
  • We never hold your money — Stripe moves it. No escrow, no advances, no balances.

This summary is a navigation aid, not part of the agreement — the numbered sections below are what you're agreeing to.

1. Who we are, and what you're agreeing to

Microhired is operated by Antimagic LLC ("Microhired", "we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in, or using microhired.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What the Service does

Microhired lets individuals track personal revenue, form revenue-split agreements with other people ("Deals"), bill payers, and receive automatic payouts of their agreed share. Payment processing, identity verification, and money movement are provided by Stripe, Inc. under Stripe's own terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Microhired never holds your funds outside of Stripe's payment flows and does not offer escrow, advances, or balances.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You're responsible for the email address on your account and anything done through it — sign-in is by single-use email links, so keeping control of your mailbox is keeping control of your account. Information you provide must be accurate, particularly identity and payout details submitted to Stripe.

4. Deals are your agreements, not ours

Deal agreements — whether written by you, generated from our standard template, drafted with AI assistance, or uploaded as your own document — are contracts between the parties to the Deal. Microhired is not a party to them, does not review them, and does not provide legal advice. Template and AI-assisted text are starting points, not legal counsel; for significant agreements, have a lawyer review before you accept. You are responsible for the lawfulness and accuracy of the terms you propose or accept, and for your own tax obligations on amounts you receive.

5. Electronic signatures

You agree to transact electronically. Accepting a Deal's terms on the Service is your electronic signature under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA: we record your identity, a timestamp, and a cryptographic fingerprint of the exact terms you accepted, and that record is binding to the same extent as a handwritten signature. Executed copies are emailed to every party and retained by the Service.

6. Fees and payouts

Microhired charges a platform fee — currently 1% of each bill collected — deducted, along with Stripe's payment-processing fees, before splits are paid out. Splits apply to amounts actually received, net of those fees. Any deal values shown before collection are estimates, not guarantees. Payouts go to your Stripe account on Stripe's timelines after a short settlement hold.

7. Refunds, disputes, and clawbacks

If a collected payment is later refunded, disputed, or reversed, each party's proportional share of the reversal may be offset against their future payouts or owed back on demand, as reflected in the Deal's terms. We may pause payouts tied to a disputed payment until the dispute resolves.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited by Stripe's restricted-business list; don't misrepresent your identity to other parties; don't attempt to breach, probe, or overload the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users, and we may decline, freeze, or unwind transactions where required by law or by Stripe.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any Deal will be performed by its parties, or that any payer will pay.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Antimagic LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the Service or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
